Eastern Canada - Day 3

First stop, Parliment Hill!

We were hopful, but no sighting of the Prime Minister.

We took in the outside walking tour...

Checking out Gatineau, Quebec across the Ottawa River.

We booked a tour inside the parliment, but had to wait,

So we headed over to the Supreme Court of Canada for a quick tour.

On the way back checking out the war memorials and the resting places of soldiers.

Eventually, after all the appropriate security checks we made it inside parliment for our tour. There was no parliment in session, in fact they were doing some reno's. However, we got to see all the architecture and the different rooms frequented by our prime minister.

A couple of Sam's friends were driving across Canada, headed to Newfoundland, and just happened to get to Ottawa at the same time we were there. We met up with them and invted them to join us on the tour. What a great time spent checking out our Country's head quarters.

We ate, walked the streets...

Again, looked for the P.M.

The residence at 24 Sussex Dr. is well hidden by foilage and fencing... Guess I would want that too if I were living there.

So instead we headed down Rideau Dr. to the Govenor General's home.

After a long day, we headed back to the hotel for some swimming.
